Dear Bountiful City District Emergency Coordinators and Communicators.

We are pleased to announce in response to interest from many of our Districts another Technician license course. Bountiful City’s emphasis on amateur radio as the primary communications link to the districts in case of an emergency requires radio operators for each District.  Additionally, many districts would like to use amateur radio to communicate within their districts in an emergency.  Because of these considerations, there has been considerable interest in classes to help interested individuals get their Technician Class license.

The last class we offered had a pass rate of about 95%.  This is an intensive class, but we have broken it down into 4 classes of about 2 hours each, with a fifth final evening in Clearfield, where the test will be administered.  There is no charge for the class, but the final licensing session requires a test fee of $15.
